1. Using Action Verbs in the Professional Experience Section
Employers want to hire winners, talents, gifted and successful managers.
How would you present yourself as a winner in the best way in a resume? Use action verbs.
When writing your work history section in a resume ( i.e. – professional background ), you may want to start each sentence with the right action verb that best describes your activities – To express how well you performed at your previous jobs.
These action verbs are power words that can effectively present you as a person who achieves something in his career.
Therefore, list and quantify your achievements in a sense of direction to the prospective employer and in a way that these highly reflect the positions’ requirements – Those position you are applying for.
Some action verbs that demonstrate key leadership skills: Initiated, directed, innovate, originated, guided, coached, led, lead the path, developed, inspired, motivated, established, dominated, achieved, influenced, planned and forecast.
