A job references page is an important part of any job search process.
It would be wise to create a separate page in a resume and include a list of references, that is only if the references list is impressive, containing – CEOs, high level executives, professors, famous politicians etc.
Otherwise, one has to get ready providing his/her references list upon request during a job interview.

You may or may not include the phrase – “References available upon request” in you resume.
I’d recommend you avoid writing this phrase, it is not necessary – obviously, you are going to give the references list, in case the employer is interested.. Don’t you?

This article provides examples of job references and discusses on how to write a job reference – the format of the sheet.
