When we were young and asked in school what we wanted to be when we grew up, we used to come up with a number of creative answers – someone wanted to be a policeman, another person wanted to be a doctor, a firefighter, some even wanted to be a rock star.
Of course, not everyone has achieved their childhood dream job, and there are several reasons for that.
While it would be unrealistic for a person to achieve their childhood dream job or his/her innocent childhood fantasies, wouldn’t it be great if you could find out your dream career – the job of your dreams?

Here are some tips that you might use:
Make Yourself Competent for your Dream Career
Everyone has dreams. It is only the ones who follow them in a dedicated manner and make changes in their lives to pursue these dreams that actually turn them into achievements.
If you have a dream of a career, you should try to bring about the abilities and fulfill the requirements that are mandatory for pursuing a career in the profession you wish.
For example, if you dream of being a Human Resource officer, you should make sure that you educate yourself and get the required degrees to pursue the career of a Human Resource officer. This is true for almost any career that you might want to pursue.
Hone Your Core Competencies
While most requirements for the dream job can be achieved via training and education, there are some aspects that come naturally to a person. In the case of a singer or an actor, while they can educate themselves in screen presence, dialogue delivery, etc, it is their core competency of acting that makes them the true star. This is not only true in the field of media, but several others – like if you wish to be a computer programmer, you should find out whether your core competencies are in mathematics, logics, etc.
If you wish to go into web designing and digital graphics, your core competencies should be a fine hand when it comes to art, the right choice in colors and a creativity that makes you different from the thousands of other digital artists around.
Of course, this does not mean that you do not have the core competencies, you cannot pursue your dream career, but it is definitely true that if you are natural at something, you will progress a lot more in that particular line of work.
What’s Your Dream Job and Dream career?
When you are young, you have a lot of thoughts and ambitions.
Since it is quite difficult for a person to discover his inner resources, you should make sure that you sit down and think hard about what your dream job actually is, and then go ahead to plan the path of your career accordingly.
Once you identify the career of your dreams, plan your way toward achieving your career goals – you will be able to find out answers on landing the dream career.
